Alberta — beyond the corridors (regional context)

Beyond the corridors: snowfall warning at Fort McMurray as the Prairie snow continues

The snow keeps falling across the Prairies through Wednesday ahead of a colder Thursday, according to The Weather Network's morning wire, which reports an Environment and Climate Change Canada snowfall warning for the Fort McMurray area. That warning sits northeast of both Alberta corridors and is not scored on the Parked Index board, but it marks the same system now putting snow on the QEII and the Yellowhead. The Weather Network notes daytime highs staying below freezing across most of Alberta by Wednesday, with subfreezing highs not seen since the end of April.
