Leaders within the trucking industry have taken to the media this week to spread the truth about the alleged looming trucker strike that those of us familiar with this pattern already knew – it’s not going to happen.
Around two weeks ago, social media posts announcing plans for truck drivers to strike on October 1st in protest of high diesel prices began circulating on social media.
Since then, some mainstream media has tried to stir up panic about the widespread effects such a strike would have on the public, but very few public-facing truckers have come out with actual plans to participate.
Now, several leaders within the trucking industry have spoken with news outlets to squash the online rumors that truckers will finally park it until they get what they want – lower diesel prices.
