The Driver Gear is a Canadian truck-driver gear publication: 51 research-based buying guides and explainers, plus 7 free interactive tools — calculators, a cab-comfort quiz, and pickers. If our research helped your article, here is everything you need to cite us properly.

What we are

We publish buying guides for Canadian truck drivers — seat comfort, 12V power, winter gear, cab setup — scored from published specs and driver reviews. We also build free tools drivers actually use: an inverter-size calculator, a heated-jacket runtime calculator, a 12V cooler battery-drain calculator, a cab-comfort quiz, and more.

Our house line, on every guide: Research-based. We did not test these hands-on. Scores come from published specs and driver reviews. We never dress up a spec sheet as a road test, and we never borrow someone else’s testing.
